The Medical Assistant Program is designed to dually train students in administrative (business) skills and clinical skills for entry-level positions in medical offices, clinics, and associated medical facilities. Emphasis is placed upon appointment scheduling, computer use, pharmacology, interpretation of lab reports, phlebotomy techniques, medical coding & billing.

 

Completion of this program after approximately 60 weeks is acknowledged by awarding a diploma. Graduates will be eligible to take the certification examinations for Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy Technician, and Medical Billing Specialist.
